Morocco
“A tree whose roots lie in Africa, but whose leaves breathe in Europe” —King Hassan II
Morocco is a fascinating blend of African, Arabic, European, and Mediterranean influences. Its history of melding cultures goes back thousands of years, but ELIC’s part in that history became possible much more recently when the primary language of instruction in higher education was changed from French to English in 2014. The possibilities to teach and connect here are as endless and exciting as the nuances of this beautiful culture.
